If I could take a moment to brag about my own Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Myrtle. Myrtle is now a certified Therapy Assistance Animal with The Delta Society! She and I are “Team Myrtle” and we hope to start visiting schools and nursing homes as soon as all the paperwork is filed and approved.

Leo was my first Corgi ever and he sold me on the breed for life. What an amazing dog he is. Smart and beautiful. Leo has always done clever things without being trained to do them, and he is just so much fun to be with. Leo just makes me smile and I can’t imagine life without him and Randy (his little brother).

A big congratulations to new mom “Ell” the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, who gave birth to 7 bouncing baby puppies yesterday! Ell is owned by Garrett of Ebonwald Cardigans and was breed with Pilot of C-Myste. Beautiful puppies! I hope we have another puppy party…

Bender came into my life the summer of 2008. His owner had given him up and he was moved from house to house, not staying in any one place longer than a week. We offered to watch Bender and it was love at first lick, he’s been with us ever since. He’s incredibly spunky and takes care in guarding the backyard – a job he takes very seriously. Bender enjoys food – both his and his parents, but he also loves playtime, cuddling, and tearing apart anything made of cardboard.
